Eric Gutshall has over 15 years of general management and real estate experience. In his role at Haven Realty Capital, Eric is responsible for the strategic and tactical direction of the firm’s operating platform, which includes fundraising, infrastructure design, process development, systems implementation and staff leadership and development.
Eric began his career at a Beverly Hills-based venture capital firm focused on the seeding of early stage start-up companies in the New Media and Internet spaces. In this role, Eric was instrumental in the formations of four start-ups in roles ranging from market strategy and positioning, business development, general management and staffing.
Following his start-up experience, Eric held numerous management positions with a global leader in industrial supply distribution. While there, Eric was responsible for all management and operational aspects of a core operating division consisting of 250 employees and 30 departmental managers engaged in customer service operations for the $1 billion West Coast region.
Prior to co-founding Haven Realty Capital, Eric worked at a commercial development and property management firm in Los Angeles. While there, Eric managed a commercial real estate portfolio totaling approximately 2.5 million square feet and valued in excess of $400 million.
Eric holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at USC, a Masters in Real Estate Development (MRED) from USC and a BA in Political Science from Yale University. After graduating from Yale, Eric was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and played in its minor league system prior to beginning his professional career.
